FOUNDER AND CEO

Amber is Unravel’s Founder and CEO and leads strategy, sales, and client relationships. Amber also serves as Director for the Delivery Decisions Initiative (DDI) at Ariadne Labs, overseeing the design, measurement, and implementation of the TeamBirth Project.

Amber has been an obstetric nurse for 18 years, specializing in quality improvement and project implementation. She is a Research Scientist at Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health in the Department of Health Policy and Management.

Before joining Ariadne Labs, Amber served as Assistant Director for Maternal-Infant Health Initiatives at the Washington State Hospital Association, where she led safety and quality work in the state’s birthing hospitals. While there, she worked to decrease maternal morbidity and mortality in the state through the implementation of a maternal early warning trigger system (MEWT) and qualitative blood loss measurement.

Amber earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota. She graduated with her MSN from Western Governors University in Healthcare Administration and Nursing Leadership and completed her BSN from Seattle Pacific University.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Erik is Unravel’s COO. He partners with Amber to define and execute our strategy and mission and leads day-to-day operations. He also serves as a consultant to Ariadne Labs, helping to develop and implement the blueprint for spinning out and scaling companies from the Lab.

Erik has been in the startup, tech, and corporate innovation space for more than 30 years, working with organizations of all sizes, from pre-seed startups to multi-billion dollar brands, including roles as founder, CEO, investor, and advisor, strategy and innovation consultant, and board member.

He received his B.B.A. from the College of William & Mary.

CHIEF OF STAFF

Tyler is our Chief of Staff and the nerve center of everything at Unravel. He handles it all, from keeping the trains running on time, supporting Amber, managing client projects, leading sales pursuits, and creating marketing collateral while continuing to serve as Project Assistant on the Delivery Decisions Initiative (DDI) team.

Before Unravel Healthcare and Ariadne Labs, Tyler worked as the Program Coordinator at the Global Health Education and Learning Incubator (GHELI) at Harvard University. In this role, he supported global health educational initiatives University-wide, focusing on curating resources for GHELI’s digital Repository and developing resource collections on complex global health topics.

Tyler is currently pursuing his Master of Public Health in Health and Social Behavior at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, focusing on health equity and maternal and child health.

He received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in Anthropology.

CLINICAL IMPLEMENTATION LEAD

Trisha Short leads the delivery of projects and programs for Unravel Healthcare. She is also a Clinical Implementation Specialist of the Delivery Decisions Initiative at Ariadne Labs.

Trisha has been an obstetrical nurse for 17 years, specializing in high-risk obstetrics and quality improvement, and is a certified AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Instructor.

She joined the Ariadne and Unravel team after leading the successful implementation of TeamBirth at her hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She earned her BSN from the University of Oklahoma.
